Product ID already used
Cross-reference Google's affected-products CSV with the feed that generated it, inspect duplicate IDs, and correct the source instead of guessing across a catalog.
In Merchant Center, open Products → Needs attention, filter for “Product ID already used,” and download the affected-products list.
Choose the CSV or TSV that produced the affected offers. The free audit flags duplicate IDs inside that file and keeps the catalog in your browser.
Add the affected-products CSV in the ID-list slot. FeedPatch joins the IDs to the source feed and shows the exact rows to inspect.
Google identifies an offer by product ID together with language and feed label. FeedPatch can inspect the files you provide, but a collision may live in another primary, local, or supplemental source.
Remove unintended duplicate submissions or use a genuinely different product ID for a different product. Keep stable IDs for products that have not changed.
Submit the corrected source once, then use Merchant Center as the final authority. Google says the Needs attention status can take up to 72 hours to update.
What the evidence says
If the free audit finds the same ID twice, you have a concrete row-level lead. If the affected ID appears only once, inspect other Merchant Center data sources and confirm that ID, language, and feed label describe the intended offer.
Audit the source feedOptional repair export
FeedPatch Pro applies safe, reviewable normalizations after you identify the source rows. It does not silently rewrite product IDs.
Frequently asked
No. It audits and matches the files you open locally. If the ID is duplicated across two separate data sources, compare both sources and their language and feed-label settings in Merchant Center.
No. IDs are business-critical and should remain stable for the same product. The tool locates rows and applies only reviewable formatting normalizations in Pro exports.
The source-feed audit, duplicate-ID checks, affected-products matching, exact row numbers, unmatched-ID list, and match-map download are free.
Not necessarily. Merchant Center decides the issue status, and Google notes that updates can take up to 72 hours. Website, policy, identity, and account issues are outside FeedPatch.
