Read the final item in Merchant Center
Open one affected variant and record its item ID, data source, feed label, language, country, brand, GTIN, and MPN. Do not rely only on the status shown inside Shopify.
Shopify → Merchant Center
Prove which layer dropped the value: the Shopify variant, the Google & YouTube channel, another feed source, or Merchant Center's final item. Start with one affected variant before editing the catalog.
Open one affected variant and record its item ID, data source, feed label, language, country, brand, GTIN, and MPN. Do not rely only on the status shown inside Shopify.
Check the exact variant rather than the parent product. Confirm whether the value is a real manufacturer-assigned MPN, not an internal SKU copied into the field.
If Merchant Center receives both the Google & YouTube channel and a third-party or supplemental feed, compare the final item's source before blaming a Shopify field.
Parse Shopify-style IDs and match the affected-products CSV back to the submitted feed. An unmatched ID often means you are comparing two namespaces, not that the MPN vanished.
Safe boundary
Changing an item ID can create a new Merchant Center product and disconnect historical performance. Keep IDs stable, correct only the source that owns the affected item, then allow time for Merchant Center to process the update.

Only when that value is genuinely the manufacturer-assigned part number. Google warns against guessing or submitting an internal SKU as an MPN when it is not the manufacturer part number.
Use the most specific manufacturer-assigned MPN available. Variants that are different manufacturer products, such as different colors, may have different MPNs. Do not invent values to force uniqueness.
No. FeedPatch does not connect to Shopify or Merchant Center and cannot change channel-app behavior. It helps identify the exact affected item ID and source row so you can prove where the value is missing.
First identify the active data source. A Shopify channel item may use a shopify_LABEL_PRODUCT_VARIANT ID while a custom feed uses another ID. Parse and compare one affected variant before changing the whole catalog.
No. The FeedPatch parser and affected-products matcher run in your browser. Aggregate action counts are recorded, but pasted IDs and CSV contents are not sent to FeedPatch.
Optional repair export
The ID parser and affected-products matcher stay free. Pro adds full-feed normalization downloads after you have confirmed the real source problem.
